It poses a threat to the surrounding residents and the water quality of the Xili Cao River, Wujin Port and Taihu Lake... Immediately activate the Changzhou City Environmental Emergency Response Plan!" Following the order of the Changzhou Environmental Protection Bureau Shi Zhengda, a surprise attack against chemical companies The emergency drill for environmental incidents officially kicked off.

After the accident, the company immediately reported to the medical, fire and environmental protection departments and requested rescue. At the same time, the emergency plan was activated to implement self-rescue. 10 minutes later, 120 ambulances and fire trucks rushed to the scene of the accident to provide ambulance. Firefighters sprayed the accident workshop with water guns to cool down, and used foam to extinguish the fire in the reactor; the district environmental protection emergency response personnel immediately instructed the company to use sandbags to block the rain gutter next to the workshop, sample the sewage, and block the rain gutter. At 3:19, the accident escalated. Part of the fire-fighting wastewater containing xylene at the scene has entered the river bank on the north side of the factory through the enterprise rainwater discharge outlet. After receiving the request from the Wujin District Environmental Protection Bureau, the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau immediately activated the emergency plan and rushed to the scene of the accident and reported the situation to the Provincial Environmental Protection Department. After arriving, immediately carry out emergency treatment to prevent the spread of sewage. After 30 minutes of intense and orderly treatment, with the concerted efforts of firefighting, environmental protection and corporate personnel, the pollution accident has been effectively controlled, the surrounding environment quality has returned to normal, and the wounded have been sent to the hospital by ambulance for rescue...

The drill was jointly organized by the Changzhou Environmental Protection Bureau, Wujin District Environmental Protection Bureau and Changzhou Yonghe Fine Chemical Co., Ltd.
